The circumstances created by the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus pandemic, the global uncertainty about when the health crisis will end and the questions of exhibitors and partners led the CNR-CME Board of Directors to conclude that the energy sector will not be able to participate fully and, therefore, it will postpone the development of FOREN 2020 for the period September 6 - 10, 2020.

The Energy Forum of Central and Eastern Europe, organized every two years, is the most important event, with a regional exhibition, hosted by the Romanian National Committee of the World Energy Council (CNR-CME). Since 2011, FOREN has been recognized as the official regional meeting of the World Energy Council for Central and Eastern Europe.

This year, the 15th edition of FOREN will take place between June 14-18, 2020, at Vox Maris Grand Resort, Costinesti. The theme of the event will be ENERGY TRANSITION IN SOUTH EAST EUROPE: OPPORTUNITIES, CHALLENGES AND PERSPECTIVES and will include:

• 10 main events
• 5 sections of scientific communications
• International exhibition
• 17 round tables at corporate level

Thanks to the participation of a large number of decision makers and the best energy specialists in the region, FOREN is a powerful platform for dialogue, communication between the countries of the EEC region, designed to address and analyze major energy issues and trends, while providing time relevant recommendations for governmental, corporate and academic decision makers, for a sustainable future in the world. FOREN is also an ideal platform for regional cooperation aimed at improving energy security.
