Current trends and development opportunities of plastics industry were discussed by participants from different industries in northeastern Romania. The plastics processing company STEWO had invited from 12 to 15 May customers, network partners and suppliers to Maramureș.
Shortly before Pentecost the three-day Maramure[ Conference launched under the heading “Plastics processing in Romania”. Representatives from various industries, whose connection is in plastic, met in the Romanian region of Maramures in Salistea de Sus. The host company STEWO Plastic Prod S.R.L. was grew up in 2003 as a subsidiary of almost five decades based in Helmbrechts company STEWO Kunststoffverarbeitung GmbH & Co. KG. Owner Michael Stelzer invited together with the Romanian Managing Director Daniela Leonte business partners from Europe to a networking in an exceptional location.
The participants – consisting of recipients of plastic parts, machine and peripherals manufacturers, market experts, material suppliers and processors – found themselves for starting at the the company’s premises in N`saud, where to set the mood of conference theme enabled a round guide insights into the production of injection molded parts. Then they went via bus transfer to Săliștea de Sus to the venue, where the first day closed after dinner by an open exchange.
The agenda of the second day opened by host Michael Stelzer who led the participants depth directly into the subject industry 4.0. Based on the tooling shop he explained in his presentation how steel comes to its injection form between terms such as Big Data, Virtual Reality, Robotering etc. This thread was continued in injection molding by Bogdan Nestor, CEO of Romania Wittmann Battenfeld S.R.L. He pointed out the number of peripherals which communicate with the machine and by which way this easily and centrally can be controled and monitored. To what extent investment is worth on the way to Industry 4.0 in the electric injection molding machines and which technology is behind them, betrayed Speaker Peter Gladigau of Sumitomo (SHI) Demag GmbH to an interested audience.
The material specialist Marcian Cre]eanu from Albis Plastic S.R.L. explained which qualities and processing possibilities new high-capacity plastics own and for which intended purposes of technical plastic parts this is especially important. Then Hans-Jürgen Hain from Digicolor GmbH demonstrated with reference to plastic granulates that the ideal drying of the material has direct influence on the quality of the product. He explained the possibilities and facilities of local and central supply of material and material drying. Finally of the extensive agenda the manager of the CCIABN, Eugenia Maria Pop still refered on a subject of big interest by the participants and spoke of the current trends of the Romanian job market and informed about his development. Afterwards arose in the forum active discussions all around the topice heard before.
Beside the professional talks and impulse lectures all around technologies, developments and chances for the organizers of the conference it strongly was important getting to know branch-covering from different industries and active exchange of views for new impulses. The supporting program around land improvement and scenery of the Romanian traditional region Maramure[ provided for common experiences among the participants. The draught seems to have risen. The eager feedbacks and the hearty discharge scenes before departure conclude by it.
